Though the year 2012 was very eventful, quite alot of albums were unreleased and anticipation filtered into the new year. We bring you the top 11 albums of 2013.

BANKY W – RnBW

Banky was meant to drop the RnBW album on valentine’s day last year but ended up moving the date indefinitely as he was busy with the 'EME' project. He has however released 4 hit singles out - Setting P, Lowkey, Good Good Loving and of course everyone’s fav, Yes/No (with the video enjoying rotation on Soundcity Music Channel).

It has been almost 4 years since The W Experience was release, This year would definitely see the release of RnBW.

BURNA BOY – L.I.F.E

On the heels of the rotation and love, his new video for 'Tonight' has been enjoying, Burna Boy is rightly ready for another album. The singles 'Like to Party' & 'Tonight' seriously puts Burna Boy's debut album on serious anticipation. He went from “upcoming” to big star in almost a blink of an eye, maybe.

He is however not a newbie, the Burn Identity mixtape has been floating for the past 1+ years. L.I.F.E is the titled as of today.

DBANJ – MR ENDOWED

This is one that we’re not 100% sure about especially after the Mo-Hits split up, but we can speculate and it’s only natural to expect it this year.

Dbanj has had his ups and downs in 2012, but never for one bit did anyone doubt his star power. He’s still one of the biggest names in African music, and an album this year will either catapult his international status.

IYANYA – DESIRE

Iyanya had the songs of the year last year in 'Kukere' then the follow up single - 'Your waist'. The song, though released in 2011, literally destroyed parties and clubs once it was played. Raise your hand if don’t Etighi when this song comes on.

So comes after you have the song of the year? The album of the year maybe? Albums drop in February. We keep our fingers crossed.

MI – THE CHAIRMAN

Mr Abaga might seem to be quiet in the last few months but we can tell he is busy in the studio. The Chairman!! Is there a year that goes by that MI doesn’t release some project? Let’s see… 2008 Talk About It, 2009 Illegal Music, 2010 MI2, and 2012 Illegal Music 2.

The Chairman will MI’s 3rd official album and Chocolate city is looking at dropping the album later this year after the singles drop in the first quarter of the year 2013.

WANDE COAL – BLACK DIAMOND

Mushin To Mo-Hits seems like a distant memory now. The album that shot Wande through to the stars is about to 4 years old. With three singles dropping from him soonest, an album is also in the pipeline.

Possibly, The most eligible Mavin for an album The album tentatively titled, Black Diamond, should drop this year.

WAJE – THE AFRICAN SOUL

Vocal powerhouse is long overdue for an album. With a voice made in heaven, the energy, the soul, and the IT factor that captures Nigerians like not many can do.

The singles Oko Mi & I Wish, both released last year gave us fans some hope that the album is coming soon, and indeed we’re surer than ever that it is around the corner.

PRAIZ – TBA

Praiz arguably has the best voice of any male RnB artist in Nigeria, and with songs like 'I Love You', 'Rich & Famous' and features on MI’s Praiz & Bez’ Stupid Song, it’s hard to argue against that.

2013 has to be the year Praiz drops an album, and all reports are pointed towards that happening. Praiz would also be experimental, with songs from a wide audience - RnB, Soul and Party/Jellof music.

TIWA SAVAGE – TIWA O NI BAJE

Is there a reason why Tiwa Savage doesn’t have an “official” album yet? Actually isn’t it hard to believe that she doesn’t have an album yet? It almost seems like she’s had an album in rotation for while, but surprisingly she doesn’t.

However, the Mavin records artist has revealed that she will be in fact releasing an album this year. Album is tentatively titled 'Tiwa oni baje'.

MAY D – TBA

May D started 2012 on a high note, collaborating with P-Square on the remix of Chop My Money with Akon, and soaring to greater heights under Square records. They have parted ways but that didn’t slow May D down though, as he set up himself nicely, and released 2 additional singles to keep himself in the buzz.

DAMMY KRANE – TBA

Is this the year we see an album from one of the brightest stars, Dammy Krane? The answer is a Yes. Dammy Krane has the solid singles on deck already, and even some special recognitions already – Rookie of The Year at the Headies and taking part in the 2012’s Hennessey Artistry.

In related context,
The most anticipated work from any Nigerian artiste is Wizkid's just announced mixtape tentatively titled 'StarBoy'. Heavy collaborations is to be expected as he has recorded tracks in Lagos, UK and the US.

Which of the albums are you anticipating?
